Project "On the Journey to Bethlehem"
Welcome, "On the Journey to Bethlehem"
Just as Saint Joseph and the Virgin Mary set out on pilgrimage until they received Jesus, we are invited to join Him on the journey.
I seek to join him, to carry him in my life, my home, my family and to have him be part of my projects.
I have always felt the presence of God in my life clearly.
He gifted me with Faith, which supports me in difficult times, encourages me to overcome challenges and to enjoy… every time I see His hand in everyday life.
I know the Santa María Madre de la Iglesia Monastery in Uruguay.
A Cloistered Convent of Benedictine Nuns, a place of immense peace.
They work with images, creating reassuring, warm and inspiring religious paintings.
They encourage meditation and prayer.
This is most certainly so because they pray for the family that will receive them...
I once dreamed of the possibility of making them myself, praying as they do, so that whoever received the painting in their home would also receive the Grace they might be in need of.
As we all know, “for God nothing is impossible”.
I once started making them, and immediately began to rejoice in deep prayer, peace and encounter with God.
I saw that making them was a beautiful way of stepping forward on the “journey…” and sharing such an encouraging experience with others.
The paintings are a tool, an instrument of prayer, leading us to peace, as prayer strengthens our Faith and brings us closer to God.
Today, I’m inviting you to make your own “Journey to Bethlehem”.
I invite you to find your painting, take it home, give it a place of honor, and confide it with your prayers.
The angel said unto them:
"Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord”.
Luke 2, 10
May God bless you with the Grace you need.
»May Jesus gift you with the assurance that he is walking beside you
and may the Virgin Mary shelter you and give you her peace.«
With Christ, her son,
may the Virgin Mary bless us.«
I will see you soon, “On the journey to Bethlehem…”
